Beech Mountain Bark Park

THE BARK PARK IS OPEN FOR USE!!
The Beech Mountain Bark Park is a fenced in, off-leash dog park where well-behaved dogs can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife. This park is a beautiful, well-maintained space open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park’s rules and restrictions. The park was built and is maintained as a community project, designed to satisfy the needs of dog-owners and non-dog owners alike.

Beech Bark Park Project Summary
Background: For several years, the Town of Beech Mountain received numerous requests for a dog park. In 2011, the Town secured the perfect location for this project. A one acre parcel, located on the far northeast corner of the “Kite Field”. In a joint effort between the community, the Town of Beech Mountain and the Beech Mountain Club, the Bark Park was constructed in 2011-2012. The project was funded entirely with private donations.

Donate Today: Although major construction on the park is now completed, your donations are still needed to fund maintenance and upkeep of the park. Mail your tax-deductible donation to the Buckeye Recreation Center at 1330 Pine Ridge Rd, Beech Mountain, NC 28604. Please make your check out to the Beech Mountain Dog Park. You will be mailed a receipt for your generous donation. Any amount will help our four-legged friends run free and safe on our beautiful mountain.

Golf Courses
The Beech Mountain Club has a beautiful eighteen-hole golf course that was designed by Willard Byrd. The Club offers membership to qualified Beech Mountain property owners and has a limited number of Non-Property Owner memberships available. Renters may also enjoy access to the Club through the Transfer of Membership program while staying on Beech Mountain.
There are also many other courses within a short driving distance of Beech Mountain.

In addition to a 43-acre recreational park, Beech Mountain is home to a vast network of hiking and mountain biking trails–perfect for elevating your sense of adventure and fine-tuning your harmony with nature.
Over 20 miles of hiking trails wrap up, down, and around the mountain, offering boot-jockeys focused perspectives of wildlife, waterfalls, and breathtaking scenery.
