Stakeholder engagement in this municipality is an important component to our community’s success. One of the best ways to participate in our community is by serving on a board for the Town.  These appointed bodies oversee and advise the Town Council on a wide range of issues that affect the welfare of our community. Boards also play a vital role in promoting efficient, effective, and honest government.  For many, serving on a board is one of the most rewarding experiences of their lives.

Fully completed board terms always end in December.  Coincidently, December is when full term board appointments are first considered by the Town Council.  Those appointed to fulfil a remaining term will have their term expire at the conclusion of the initial appointed term for the individual first appointed.

Many boards have specific membership eligibility requirements set by law or other enacting language.  In addition, there are rules for some boards that will disqualify certain individuals from serving.  Before indicating your interest in a particular board or commission, please review any membership requirements (and any disqualifying factors) to make sure you are eligible.  Below is a list of the Town’s boards along with where the these rules can be located in the Town’s Code of Ordinances CLICK HERE FOR ACCESS TO TOWN’S CODE OF ORDINANCES or the governing bylaws for the board.
