Summer Camps

Beech Mountain Parks and Recreation pride themselves on their summer camp offerings for our youth. Our camps are designed to engage campers and nature, whether its on a hike, exploring local creeks, playing group building games or pushing your skills on a mountain bike.

Each summer we provide two very popular camps. Camp Buckeye is for ages 5-12 and is a day camp, so you can choose to come for a day or two, full week, or all 7 weeks. Camp Buckeye has grown significantly over the years and has become a staple camp on Beech Mountain. Your camper will make wonderful memories and lifelong friendships.

In August we host a mountain bike camp designed for young riders who are looking to gain confidence on the bike and test themselves in the woods of Beech Mountain. Camp is lead by Professional Mountain Bike Instructor Association (PMBIA) certified instructors.
